Borrowed Scenery looks at urban plant life with fresh eyes

Holding up a magnifying glass to the city, it reveals vegetation where we would usually overlook it: in cracks, on our plates, in emerging technologies and in age-old stories. By 'borrowing' the setting of Ghent, we are led through a living city where humans, plants and technology entwine in symbiotic relationships.

On the fertile edges between possibility and imagination, you can discover a makeshift laboratory where a group of patabotanists are attempting to establish communication with plants. You can embark on expeditions to train your vegetal attention, or take part in experiments to augment your senses and hear the city through plant ears. At various points you can meet the inhabitants of Borrowed Scenery, follow their investigations online, join their botanical celebrations and raise your voice as part of an inter-species choir.
